I got a lawyer from the beginning and think anyone dealing with WC should. But unless you have a very aggressive lawyer and maybe even with one you may still wait for surgery. I am still working, in pain but still working so my lawyer wasn't as aggressive. But WC sent me to 3 specialists before they approved surgery. I had already been to the work doctor several times before them. I had my first surgery 2 days short of 11 months after my very first doctors visit...Paula
