Repeat of EMG, isn't it too soon??

I had an EMG in Jan 2003 which showed some abnormal results. The DR said mild to early moderate CTS. I have had some improvement and then times when it gets worse. My DR wants me to return to neurologist to see about another test. If I just had a test in Jan 2003, is it too early to consider doing it again?? It seems like too much trouble for me.
