Mandi, thank you so much for posting about Dr Sarno, I was trying to think of his name, but old age seems to be settling in fast :) I have a friend who is almost crippled by Fibromyalgia, she lives on Percocet, she gets prescriptions from 2 different Dr's, she's addicted to them so bad it worries me, it's almost impossible to carry on a conversation with her, she's so stoned all the time.... I wanted Dr Sarno's book to give to one of her relatives that she HASN'T brainwashed into thinking she needs that much medication to be pain-free. I truly believe most of the pain IS in her mind, and with positive thinking she can get better (not cured) on her own, she wallows in self pity now, and most of her relatives indulge her, instead of trying to help her....
