: Hi everybody, I had the CTS open release done on May 29th. I was given no special instructions after the stitches came out other than use common sense. With that said, I have good news and bad news. The good news is, I am recovering well from the surgery. I have 100% use of my fingers, but I will say only 90% use of the hand as a whole. I have full motion with only slight pulling at the incision. The one thin I cannot do yet is put my weight on my hand. If I am sitting on the floor and want to get up, I must put my weight on my knuckles. I am surprised at how tender deep inside the incision area is yet. Don its great hearing from you...150 miles of bike riding is super and making me feel very guilty....Don your not even quite 2 months post op and your doing everything you did before surgery....You still need healing time...they say it takes a woman a full year to recover from having babies and with CT, I bet it takes as long....Your attitude and get up and go is great and your a big encouragement to others...Hopefully with more time, you will totally heal, completely pain free....Melani
