Hi Erin,

I have been taking ultram for several years now.
It was prescribed by my pain specialist for a
different medical condition other than CTS. It
was a life saver for me. I was on the meds on a
regular basis but now I only take them if I feel
it is required. Ultram was developed to help the
drug addicts get off their addiction. Some doctors think ultram can be habit forming itself.
My family doctor believed this. But my Pain Doctor said it was a crock of bull in his opinion
and if it took away the pain, then take the med.
For two years, I took ultram on a daily basis,
now I take it two or three times a year.
All I can tell you is that the med did help me
tremendously and that it was not addicting to me.
I had no trouble with stopping the ultram at all.
You will find that alot pain specialists will be
advocates of ultram while family physicians are not. You have to decide whether you want to be in pain or not. I hope this has helped you out.
