Well, when I first experienced stiffness, it was after hours of typing, mostly in my right arm, and
my right hand would just claw up. I couldn't really move my fingers
at all, they remain in this claw-like position for an hour or so, and I'd have to
stretch a lot.

I stopped typing and that was that. Then I started again
and I got systems in both left and right arms, from finger tips to the
shoulder. The doctor made me do all those exercies (bend this way, that way, hold this
position) and nothing felt unusual, so that's how he made his diagnosis.

But, my arm feel strained, achy, it's tender. After typing, my fingers feel sore
and dry. I used to get tingling .. my hands would fall asleep after reading a book
for 20 minutes! Anything I have to use my hands for, for 10 minutes or more
causes some strain. I have zero strength in them, can't even open cans really.

But the tenderness is shoulder to elbow, and the numbness, dryness, achy-cramped feeling
is in the hands.

Wow .. long answer. Sorry :) It's so hard to find people who understand! They think
I'm being overly dramatic *sigh*

: Hi Midnight,

: Can you describe some of your symptoms? Like where on your hand/wrist/arm is the pain (pinkie side of hand? thumb side of the hand? in the palm?). What motions cause the pain (bending wrist up or down, side to side, making a fist, etc)? Any numbness or tingling? Weakness? Is the pain constant, intermittent, sharp?

: Where was the tendonitis you had few years back?
