I'd almost given up hope on it. : Well, 9 months after my elbow surgery for ulnar nerve entrapment, i'm going in again. I have very little use of my right hand now. It's very disappointing. I've lost faith in the orthpedist I went to before and will have a neurosurgeon do it this time. Hopefully it'll be done correct and hopefully I'll have no permanent disability. Not good for a cop on his shooting hand. I'd better start looking for another career. : Anyway, Oct 9th, they'll be doing a medial epicondylectomy (cut off the end of the bone in the elbow) and ulnar nerve submuscular transposition (detach the muscle, place nerve underneath and reattach the muscle). Needless to say, this is more traumatic to the elbow than the previous subcutaneous transposition I had done in January. Anyone else have submuscular transposition? How fast is the recovery? How long were you off work? I'm not one to enjoy sitting at home. Any information you can provide is appreciated : - ) : Steve (aka Copdaddy) Steve, my sister and neighbor had that surgery done. It leaves a pretty big scar but the replacement of the nerve worked great for them. Neither had to have anymore work on their arms or hands after the surgery. Cindy was off work for about 3 weeks. Oct 9th, we will be standing right beside you wishing healing thoughts. Its good to see you again. I wish it was under better circumstances though. Hang in there, I have a good feeling about this surgery. You will be painfree. Melani
