Now, Cornell is a pretty damn good hospital. : I saw him for less than 2 minutes. Swear. And then he had me out the door to schedule yet *another* EMG. I asked him what for, considering the last 3 EMGs showed "borderline" CTS. He said that HE does it better. Well, well. I didn't even have a chance to catch my breath and say "to hell with the EMGs, let's just do an MRI!" before he was out the door. : But he did have time to say that he doesn't think it's CTS, but perhaps rheumatism, or bursitis, or fibromyalgia, or maybe something else. (Needless to say, I've looked up the symptoms for all those medical conditions, and all I can say is -- huh?! Wasn't he listening to my symptoms?) : Sigh... I am sorry to hear that your doctor didn't take the time to actually hear your complaints, unfortunately most doctors are like that now! I had an MRI done on my hands and wrist, and they really didn't show much to the doctor, so don't worry too much. The EMG/NCV tests work better. I hope all goes well with you! |
