Jen, I did cry when something similar happened to me. I went in as you had and prepared for the tests, only to hear that it wouldn't be done at that time. The neurologist's office wanted me to return a few weeks later. I didn't care who saw me cry. I was furious. So I cried... and the appointment was made for a few days later.

What got mine moved up was that it had to be stressed to the doctor's office how long I had waited for the appointment already -- delayed because my insurance told me I had to take nothing with me (just show up on time), though it should have known I needed to take a check book to pay the annual deductible which hadn't been met for the year. It was the insurance company's error.

I'd go ahead and cry because it may help and then maybe tell them, it's not your fault the doctors weren't there. You were there, and you don't get compensated for that. But, betcha they'd could bill you (and others) if you didn't show up for the appointment.

: I am so upset I could cry..I had an appt.for an emg today at the hospital..It was for 10:30a.m. well the Hospital called me at 9:50a.m.and said there was a big mistake that the doctors who do it are not even there today..So I rushed around for nothing!!!! I can't get one done now until Dec.23rd...I am pist to say the least..I have already been waiting for the test to be done for 3wks..So they gave me the # of the doctor's office to see if they can do it earlier then the 23rd well they don't have an appt.until jan...I am just fed up and want to get to the problem of my hands...I am a nursing assistant and I feel like I can't even lift the residents properly anymore...uggggg sorry for venting..
