: excuse the lower case type. had my cts surgery at 8:30 this a.m.. i suppossedly had a light general sedation anesthesia. i thought i was awake the entire time, but perhaps a nodded off a few times. i remember hearing the doctors and anestheiologist talking. don't remember being wheeled to recovery.

: was in recovery for about an hour. they kept oxygen on me the entire time. i had no pain. i heard the anestheiologist say that he was leaving a shot of pain killer so i asked for it before i left. arm is wrapped in a huge bandage up to just below the elbow. dr. was very generous with the benadine all over my hand and under fingernails. ugh. had to go potty due to the i.v. but it wasn't too painfull pulling up the pants.

: got home and mom went to fill prescription for vicodine. took one at 12:00 and i'm thinking i need another 4 hours later. as far as the pain is concerned...it is sore but not intolerable. my pinkie is numb and writ area feels sore. i am a litle tired and think i haven't made too much sense on the phone. mom gave me jello cups. geez, can't open the lid with the primary hand bandaged. took jello over to neighbor to open. also had her open drug bottle since you have to push down and twist. so that will be on my list for you guys that are having surgery to think of. maybe have someone put the pills in a bag or small container.

: i will post again tomorrow. thanks to all for the support i have received up until now. i look forward to helping others as i was. i'm tired now from typing with the wrong hand!
