Your nerve may be affected in your neck as opposed to in your wrist. I had a friend many years ago have CT release surgery (when it was a much longer recovery time), and it didnt' help. He finally has a full assessment done (at the Mayo clinic), and it was determined that stenosis of his spine was actually pinching the nerve that cause the pain and numbness in his hand. Treating the affected area of his neck with cortisone shots then helped somewhat, although untimately he may have to have surgery to help the stenosis.

You may end up going to a spine specialist to find out what's going on. Good luck!
: I am confused.I had release surgery 4 years ago and I have the symptoms again. went for nerve test and he says I don't have any signs.. but 5% of people it doesn't show up on??? And he thinks my hands are shot..I don't get it? But I also have new symptom with pain in my neck???I don't know what to do.. Go back to my family doc next week to find what's the problem.. Any one with similar problem??
