My follow-up exam at Mayo today - more tests....

I was placed on Neurontin 3 weeks ago - today I had a follow-up with the doc to see if it helped. It didn't. And actually last Friday I was going to go into the ER becauase the pain was too much.

Anyway...today he said that since I have had 2 negative EMGs that no surgeon is going to want to touch me. So to qualm some fears he issued a number of additional tests. Blood work, some neck x-rays, a neck MRI and a thorasic outlet test. If these all come back negative then it is another EMG and then a SERIOUS talk with an elbow surgeon.

I AM SO FUSTRATED!!! I now even have a weird indentation on my elbow that is VERY sensitive and a little purple. I showed this to the doc today and he was even a little surprised and asked to see my other elbow which is perfectly normal, he wasn't even sure what it was from.

So, more tests...at least I am now off the neurontin - I was starting to have some weird stuff happen (hot spots on the edge of my eye).

I am really not thrilled about another EMG - with my elbow being SO sensitive, they are extemely painful for me.
