: : : : : : : hello...i was checking out your board to see what info i could find. i am scheduled for my rt. hand to be done jan. 6th. i have severe problems with both hands and am wondering if this surgery is going to work. any help out there?

: : : : : : I had surgery on left hand on 10-20.Everything worked out great and I returned to work 12-23.CTS pain disappeared immediately after surgery. There was minimal pain associated with the surgery.I know it's almost impossible to do especially in a big city ,but try to find out everything you can about your surgeon. If you have any doubts about his/her ability DON'T GO THROUGH WITH IT! Remember all surgeons are not created equal. There are many horror stories on this board caused by bad surgeons.

: : : : : Hi guy friend, your giving great advice on the doctors are not created equal. I couldn't agree more. Its good to hear that your one of the big success stories on this board. congratualtions and thanks for the update. Melani

: : : : Good to hear from you.I disappeared from the board for a while and I noticed you're not quite as active as you once were. I hope you feel a little better. I guess any improvement would be welcome. It's a shame how an aXXhole doctor can screw up somebody's life.It was bad enough what he did and absolutely unconscionable what he did to cover his aXX.

: : : I was pissed for a longtime then realized that he didn't cut the nerve on purpose. But he did cover his butt. My WC attorney said that if I wanted to pursue malpractice I could because of the cover up. Right now my only goal is to get my hand working right again. I believe in what goes around comes around. There are honestly that kind of doctors out there. Melani

: : I realize that mistakes happen and any surgery is major surgery to the person having it done, but this jerk has one coming for what he did later.Maybe the nerve could have been reattached if he had controlled his ego and referred you to someone else. Was it his ego or the fear of malpractice?

: Sierra1540
: Excuse me for butting in on your conversation with Melani about her hand..You asked if it was his ego or the fear of malpractice? Personally I think it was both.... I don't know him of course, but many people are not brought up to take responsibility for their actions...Some of these doctors are used to being treated like God, so its harder for them to put ego aside & admit any wrong doings... And naturally they don't want to be sued & have it on record.. They just cannot or will not admit mistakes. Afterall, God doesn't make mistakes does he.. Ego & money..
: Debbie

Your absolutely right on both counts. I know that a mistake was made and so does the doctor, but I have finally come to the conclusion, that the Lord allowed it to happen. For whatever reason I don't know or understand. But I know he has the reasons and healing. I believe it will be proved through my Hand Specialist. I can see good things happening right now. Melani
