Unfortunately, every surgeon does things different. I had endoscopic release and was driving the next day. I had a general because I had two other procedures done at the same time. I didn't have a cast, just gauze and a brace. Although some Drs will cast you. My stitches came out after 10 days. I saw a physical therapist for a couple months after, but again, not all Dr's have the same, positive opinion of physical therapy. I'd suggest you call his office and speak to his nurse assistant if he's not available to speak over the phone. You have every right to ask them any and all questions, and for them to be answered.
