Hey Jason,

I play guitar also, and although I'm no virtuoso, I do enjoy playing. I just pull out my acoustic every now and again to frighten family and friends. As a result of my job (assembly line work) I found myself with bilateral CTS. I had "open" release surgery about 9 months ago on my fret-hand and am happy to report that I can play without pain and numbness, although regretably I still suck at it. I'm not sure my hand would tolerate playing for a living even if I could convince an audience to, but at least recreational playing is enjoyable again. Of course, individual results may vary. Good luck.

Adam
