: : Martha,
: : Your not a wimp! My big bandage came off last Monday and when he took it off, I thought that my hand would never be normal again. Each day it gets drastically better. Hang in there and do your exercises everyday, several times a day. If he gave you a brace, try not to use the brace during the day. I only use mine to sleep, you do not want to roll over on it, or hurt it while your sleeping. If you keep doing your exercises you will be surprised at how quickly it will heal. I get my stitches out this Wednesday, I can't wait (they itch). Just hang in there and do your exercises. If you do not have a list of exercises then ask Adam. He has a great diagram of exercises that you can print and carry with you. Good luck

: : Blessings,

: OH, I THOUGHT YOU HAD YOUR SURGERY AFTER ME, BUT NOW I UNDERSTAND THAT IT WAS THE WEEK BEFORE...WHEW, THAT'S BETTER. GLAD TO HEAR YOUR GOOD RESULTS...THAT'S ENCOURAGING. I DIDN'T GET A BRACE, BUT I'M DOING THE EXCERCISES FAITHFULLY. I HAVE A CALL INTO THE DR. ABOUT WHAT TO DO AND WHAT NOT TO DO SINCE THE BIG BANDAGE IS OFF....HOW OFTEN TO CLEAN, HOW TO BANDAGE, WHEATHER TO USE ANY OINTMENT, ETC. SOMEHOW I DIDN'T GET ANY OF THIS INFO...MY HUBBY TOOK THE BANDAGE OFF...I WON'T SEE THE DOC UNTIL HE TAKES OUT THE STITCHES ON 2/4.THANNKS FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT.

Love to hear the good news from both of you and I hope you girls have continued success..it sounds like you both had "open" release, I had endo (much less stiches) and it was still weeks before I would even consider myself close to normal. I had no resting pain but trying cut something or twist off a container cap? YOUCH! For WEEKS.
But that great to hear about you guys and keep the posts coming! Just be careful and try not to do too much.
