Hi Tony, WOW! I am SOO sorry to hear about your trouble. Just wanted to post a word about natural therapies, possibly even while you wait for surgery if you choose that route. My husband is a rather radical rock-n-roll drummer (very energetic, and hard on his wrists) and developed CTS about a year ago. Since I had already been dealing with it for quite awhile, we had the advantage of all of my trial and error outcomes. Neither of us has had any invasive procedure done and we are both doing quite well with the natural-only route. It does not work for everyone, but something really important about the natural is that it truly CAN harmonize with other remedies chosen, including surgery, and can speed healing a great deal. There are lots of therapies that can help both with pain and with healing. Read through some of the message board when you have a chance... or toss some specific questions out when you have any. You'll find many well-studied folks here who can share on different types of treatment. Meanwhile, KEEP THE FAITH!!! I know that we simply couldn't live without our music! I'm sure your problems with your hands can really bring you down if you let the negative fears creep in. Just hang in there 'cuz there's LOTS that can be done to help! Peace, ChinaCat
