: : I have a question. I had surget on Jaunary 17th and everything went great. I have been using my hand almost as normal but my incision is red and hard. I have been rubbing lotion on it about 5 times a day to break-up the scar tissue and to desensitize the area but when I do it makes my thumb and wrist ache. Is this normal? if, so when will it go away? I also noticed that the muscle in the base of my hand under my thumb is soft and muscless. Will this muscle come back?

: : Thanks,

: Hi Denise,
: I had CT and Trigger thumb release on the 20th...everything is healing well, but my scars are pretty red and hard also. The thumb is worse. I am having the most trouble writing...is this still a problem for you?

Hi Ladies,
I only had endo in one hand but the palm scar was red, hard and then ultra sensitive for quite some time. I think Dmm below has the right idea, about massage and all which I did along with scar cream. But it was about 3-4 months before the scar felt "normal"
Good luck!
Kitty
