I had an EMG on my hands, wrists, elbows, and neck. To be totally honest it was one of the most uncomfortable medical experiences I have endured. It is a rather long thick needle inserted into various muscle and nerves with reads the response of the nerve, i.e any damage. My explanation of the techinal side may not be spot on. But the physical portion of the test I remember vividly. : I'm going to have an EMG on Monday--both hands. I'm not sure what to expect. How long do they usually take? : : Rita |
