Thanks, Debbie. I will take your advice.
Good luck with your HMO. That in itself can be very challenging!

: : The splints have been making a difference especially at night. But last night, I wore the splints as usual, and I woke up with numbness and pain in my right hand--with the splints on!
: : What's that about? I ended up taking the splints off.

: : Today at work I fell while starting to sit in a rolling desk chair which rolled away from me. I landed on my seat, but caught myself with my hands and now my wrists and palms hurt. No signs of broken bones or bruises--could this make my carpal tunnel worse?

: : I appreciate any advice. I hope you are all coping well.

: You betcha it can make your CT worse!! I also fell and broke the fall with my left hand and I really thought I had broken my thumb, but no.. My thumb has never been the same since then and they wanted to do ct surgery in *hopes* that it *might* help the thumb.. How could that be? The joint in my thumb (by wrist area) is gone..How could ct surgery help that? It wouldn't.. I belong to an HMO and want to check into the balloon procedure. I wonder if they only do that for spines or other joints.
: I hope you didn't injure yourself too badly. Ice it, take ibuprophen if you aren't allergic to it and see what happens. You pain and numbness might be temporary. Lets hope so.
: Debbie
