Severance with your Layoff

Short story version but wish it was Fictional.
Got Carpal Tunnel while working in IT Industry, too much typing and mousing. Got surgery on both hands one at a time. No FIX. Got 2nd set of surgeries with a Hand Specialists. Pain not as intense but alas Permanent Damage. MMI Reached WOW I get a whole $1900 as compensation for Permanent Damage and Loss of my IT Career. Oh sure that's fair...right? yeah it is. sure.

Company now offers me Layoff 4 months Severance, 2 weeks vacation pay, use of career agency to find a job in "something",and the OPPORTUNITY to pay $1400 a Month for COBRA...maybe thats what the MMI Compensation was for. = :(

Has anyone Renegotiated a Severance Package?? I really need to know. Seems to me I should have gotten a little more something than a "tip" and a kick in the butt. No suing is Not an option for me.

Any HELP out there for a CTS NightMare Case?

What do I do now? Rehab commistion says, "You made to much money" so you can get Retraining for Career but "I pickup" the Tab.

So my logic meter says, I get hurt working for Employer, But I pay for my own Retraining... Yep that surely makes sense.
