And I am only 17 so I ignored thought of CTS or Arthritis. I need help on how to prevent it, I am beginning to developed 2 cists in the underside of my wrist. Someone email me and let me know what to do. My wrists are my life. Macktheknife6@yahoo.com -Ray Hey Ray, I'm John. I'm also a guitarist (just for fun, no band or even any real gigs) at least I used to be. I had surgery on 1-15-04 and things are much worse now than the little bit of pain I was in before. Now I'm in constant pain and my right hand is basicly worthless. I had carpal tunnel surgery and a cyst removed at the same time. I'm still not really sure what is wrong with my wrist, it has been almost 3 months since surgery and I can't even think about picking up my old guitar , let alone play the damn thing. My guess and my family doctors guess is that this jackass doctor somehow damaged my median nerve which now hurts bad all the time, like when you get kicked in the groin, that kind of pain. It sucks bad. I just wanted to let you know that if you truly plan on playing your guitar for the rest of your life, re-think this surgery! If I could go back and do it over I would say no to the surgery and say yes to having my hand back. I don't want to alarm you but someone needs to set the record straight on all of this it is not as "risk free " as these assholes are claiming. that's all my friend, you got my e-mail if you need more.later. |
