Carpel tunnel

I had Carpel tunnel surgery and interosseos median nerve entrapment surgery on my left arm and wrist on 2/27. To date my left hand is still swollen and and I can't bend my fingers very well. I have a lot of pain in my thumb and first finger. I still require pain killers. It seems to me this should be resolving after 4 weeks. My next visit to my surgeon is next week. I have as much pain now as I did before surgery. Any ideas as to when this gets better or if something was missed that should be looked at.
