Posted by Stacy on April 10, 2003 at 01:28:23: Hi everyone, Just a quick update on me and Tina. I am still searching, waiting, and hoping to find a lawyer who will take our cases without charging us an arm and a leg (although at this point I would probably gladly give up the right arm - lol!). Tina did get some responses from some emails she has sent, but the one in PA charges $200 an hour and wants a $2500 retainer - YIKES! A little steep for those of us let go from our jobs while still recovering ya know? Anyway, I have a question about some meds for pain. I currently take 1 vicoden nightly due to inability to sleep, this works great on the pain, but keeps my mind awake all night (it's a hallucinegen narcotic). Has anyone been given a med that worked on the pain, but allowed you to sleep as well? If so, please let me know the name of it so I can ask my Dr. about it for me. I am sick of the narcotics, but can't get any relief from anything else I've tried - I have taken anti-inflam drugs for over 3 years and now have an ulcer from that so those are out. Tina is going through the same thing only without the vicoden - so she would appreciate any information as well. Thanks again all and continued Good luck to everyone with their recovery!
