Hello
I have been having pain for about a year in my hands and arms. I had an emg done a week ago, and the doc who did the test said I have mild CTS.
Well for mild, this is getting pretty painful, fast. I went from having some aches and pains in my hands and wrists occasionally, now it is constant at night, or at rest. I am taking a drug called Bextra, which is no help. I see a rheumatologist, because of the fact that my mom has rheumatoid arthritis, it makes me wonder if I am beginning that also, along with the CTS, because she had it also. Anyhow, with CTS, do you commonly get pain in your elbows, and up your arms to shoulders? I thought it was just your hands and forearms. I work on the computer up to 30 hrs a weeek, sometimes less. Any info, help would be appreciated. One more thing. Is this progressively going to just keep getting worse? Can I stop it, slow it? Is it an option to get surgery done, vs. waiting to try everything else, while it gets worse? Thanks in advance.
Becky
